TRANSFERS BETWEEN AIRPORTS AND YACHTS

There are 4 international airports used by yacht charter guests for arrivals in and departures from Turkey : Izmir, Bodrum, Dalaman and Antalya. Airports nearest to the ports of embarkation / disembarkation are usually preferred. Upon request, MELTEM YACHTING can arrange your transfers between the airports and the yachts.

The Greek airports on the islands of Cos and Rhodes can also be used for arrivals and departures. This however entails additional costs in the form of Greek harbour charges and taxes.

PROVISIONS
On crewed yacht charters provisioning lists (food and drinks) are usually sent to the customer ahead of time, in which case the captain or the agency makes the purchases of food and drinks before the guests arrive. This is then paid for at embarkation upon presentation of invoices. The customers may choose to do their own shopping for provisions or bring some with them – customs-free alcoholic beverages and special foods are among items often brought aboard by the guests. Your meals are prepared in the yacht’s galley -this term does not refer to a type of medieval ship often rowed by slaves but to the boat’s kitchen; the galley-slave here is the ship’s cook !

WHAT IS A CREWED YACHT CHARTER
Crewed yacht charter is the hire of a complete yacht, with captain and crew, for a specific period of time (usually one or more weeks). The route of the cruise is subject to agreement between the contracting parties, as are the ports of embarkation and disembarkation. The charter fee does not include the cost of food but does include its preparation and service.

WHAT IS THE BLUE VOYAGE
The Blue Voyage is the surest way to get rid of all of your blues, but that is not really how the name was coined. Originated in Bodrum in the late 1950’s by groups of writers, painters, and others interested in natural beauty and historical sites, the Blue Voyage started in the Gulf of Gökova and later extended to include the more distant southern shores of Turkey. Visit our map for details.

Under the bluest of blue skies, in the bluest of blue waters, the Blue Voyage is a leisurely cruise of relaxation and exploration: The crew will pamper you, feed you delicious, healthy food and take you to anchor in lovely coves and bays where you can swim, snorkel, surf and visit the sites of ancient civilizations. And at night, as you sip a drink of your choice, you will feel that you can stretch out your arms and gather handfuls of stars. The magnificent clarity of the star-studded sky seen on a Blue Voyage night is a wonder virtually unknown by those who live in the cities of today
